Less than anything amazing on Kawhi Leonard's front, it seems like the biggest news and rumors surrounding the Los Angeles Lakers are completely in the past.
Certainly, something could still happen with Leonard. But it's hard to see the Lakers entering into an agreement with the San Antonio Spurs when the front office holds all the power. They want Leonard, of course, but they can also wait for him to be a free agent or drag their feet while the Spurs are not getting any other viable commercial offer.
This is not too exciting for fans, of course. There is at least one summer prom to watch and some rumors about the rumor about the remains of free agents and a critical knee injury to watch for as the approach of the # 39; summer.
Lonzo Ball's Injuries

As the Lakers fans surely know, the knee injury belongs to a guy by the name of Lonzo Ball.
Already faced with interesting pressure with the addition of a veteran like Rajon Rondo, the novice rookie now faces a health obstacle before fighting for a few minutes.
According to the latest reports, Ball will go under the knife but should be back in time for the training camp:

Even with l & # 3939; Lakers announces that Lonzo Ball is being told that he is always ready for the training camp.
Ball posted an average of 10.2 points, 7.2 badists and 6.9 rebounds per game last year and should only improve general court for an offense starring James. He is "ready to compete" with Rondo, according to a source who spoke with Bill Oram .
With Ball, it's important to remember that he fought knee injuries for most of his rookie season. The return to 100 percent is a key step in the process for the team that goes forward, so it's more viable that adding Rondo is also a way of letting Ball take as much time as he needs.
Although the date of returning from a training camp looks excellent, the Lakers will survive if there is a setback and their rising star point will need more time.

Things are not as interesting on James' front now that he arrived in Los Angeles and put from the ink on the paper with the team.
From where the type of shorts that James wore to the summer league to make headlines.
Joking aside, it turns out that James will not be at the USA Basketball mini-camp from July 25-27, according to sources who spoke with Dave McMenamin of ESPN.com.
This is not too surprising for James, as the 33-year-old superstar averaged 36.9 minutes in 82 regular season games last year and maintained an average of 41 wins in each of his four playoffs, including one even 45.0 during the four-game sweep at the hands of the Golden State Warriors.
James did not play in the USA Basketball 2016 team, but he is one of 35 players included in the group that will be reduced to 12 names for upcoming events. With Gregg Popovich as coach now and James affinity for the well-known Spurs head coach, his involvement in things that go from the front will be interesting.
Update from David Nwaba

Here is a name that Lakers fans have not heard for a long time.
David Nwaba impressed the Lakers at the end of the 2016-17 season, turning heads enough into short-term contracts to end up spending 70 games with the Chicago Bulls the following season. With a rare chance to break through, the Cal Poly product has averaged 7.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.5 badists while consolidating its defensive striker status.
The Bulls created an opening by allowing Nwaba to become a restricted free agent, something the Lakers could throw at in the near future:

No of surprise: several teams reached out to @ dnwaba0, whose qualifying offer was canceled by Chicago on Thursday, making it an unrestricted free agent. Spurs, Lakers among many, by source, without favorite. The bulls could still re-sign it too.
Nwaba would see the court with the Lakers at an interesting clip, at least. His defensive skills would be useful late in the game, and he showed that he can keep more of a position, which is a valuable commodity in the NBA today. .
Viewed in a different way, Nwaba also fits the hard-type theme that the Lakers have tried to build around James. Besides Rondo, the team added Lance Stephenson and JaVale McGee, clearly aiming to surround James with veterans who can adapt to any situation or role. Nwaba is not as experienced as these guys, but the set of specific skills fits perfectly into the equation.
Even though it does not seem like the market for Nwaba is warming up right now, the Lakers might want to put themselves ahead if they like what he brought to the table there is two years old.
