Learn about the flexibility of measures in Bogotá after the second peak of the pandemic: there are also regulations that continue

In Bogotá and the rest of the country, there is a drop in cases and deaths that indicates the country has passed the so-called second peak of COVID-19. After saturation that bypassed 100% of beds in intensive care units (ICU), The city reaches 65.7% occupancy this Saturday and begins a series of measures that relax those determined for the peak experienced between December and January.

CONTINUOUS MEASURES

According to the decree, the mayor’s office of Bogotá still indicates that it is the duty of citizens to comply with the following biosecurity measures to protect people from possible contagion:

– The compulsory use of face masks and the use of surgical references are recommended for people at high risk.

– Hand washing and disinfection.

– Physical distance of at least 2 meters.

– Ventilation.

– Measures of hygiene and distancing of staff, customers and the operation of establishments and premises open to the public.

– The cycle path continues at regular times.

In the resolution released on February 11, the Bogotá mayor’s office advised against taking temperature, using shoe disinfectant mats, and recording data before entering a store. “On the other hand, the correct use of the mask, ventilating confined spaces and avoiding holding meetings in confined spaces, are three details that save lives”, Claudia López, Mayor of Bogotá, spoke at the time.

FLEXIBLE MEASURES

According to the Bogotá Mayor’s Office, economic activities will operate without restriction of hours or days, with the following exceptions:

– Gastronomic establishments: They can be open to the public from 5 a.m. to midnight. Home platforms will not have time restrictions.

– Cigar stores, bakeries, convenience stores and neighborhood stores: Its operation is limited between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m.

– Hairdressers, hairdressers and beauty institutes: They will have to establish schedules that go from 5 a.m. to 11 p.m.

– Retail sale of non-essential goods and provision of non-essential services: Opening hours must be stipulated between 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 p.m.

– Institutions of higher education: partial attendance up to 35% of registered students, in the time slot from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

– Non-essential goods manufacturing sector: Entry hours between 10:00 am and 6:00 am Staff entry is limited between 6:00 am and 10:00 am

– Execution of public works: They can be performed 24 hours a day. In residential areas it will be allowed between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.

– The medical procedures resume: Medium and high complexity elective surgeries will be performed which may require intensive care, as well as medium complexity procedures requiring the admission of a patient to conventional hospitalization.

UNAUTHORIZED ACTIVITIES

According to National Decree 039 of 2021, the following activities cannot be carried out:

– Public or private events involving crowds of people.

– Discotheques, bars, dance halls and similar establishments.

– The consumption of intoxicating drinks in public spaces and commercial establishments.

IT’S VACCINATION IN THE CAPITAL

“Six hospitals have already completed 100% of the staff affected, only the Kennedy, Méderi and Cancer hospitals will be vaccinated. But this evening, we have completed 100% of the first day of vaccination in Bogotá ”, Lopez assured the rest of the day.
