London: three explosive packages found at airports and trains

British police are investigating three packages containing homemade explosive devices that have been received today in London Heathrow and London City airport buildings as well as at Waterloo Station.

Preliminary sources indicate that the British police believe that there is a link between the three devices received between 09:55 and 12:10 GMT on Tuesday at the places mentioned.

According to press agencies in London, one of the packages had been opened by the staff of a building near Heathrow and had the ability to "start a small fire".

The security forces badured that they kept an "open mind" on the possible motivations for sending explosives. The word is still expected from government sources.
