Lopetegui meets Piñera on Wednesday to increase gas exports – Telam

The Secretary of Energy, Gustavo Lopetegui, will meet Wednesday in Santiago the Chilean President, Sebastián Piñera, and his partner, Susana Jiménez, to agree on a mechanism allowing Argentina to export gas during the eight local demand.

This has been confirmed by Lopetegui as part of the impetus that the national government seeks to generate for production and job creation at Vaca Muerta, by increasing demand for unconventional natural gas generated during the months drop in domestic consumption.

The government's goal is to put in place a mechanism for Argentina to increase gas exports in the eight months from September to April and to allocate all production to domestic needs during the winter months.
