López Obrador promised not to be re-elected: "I will leave the presidency on the exact day fixed by law"

So, in the middle of my term, in 2021, a consultation should be organized to ask citizens if they wish to continue to govern or resign. To fulfill this commitment, I sent a constitutional reform initiative to Congress to implement this commitment to participatory democracy.

Accordingly, I reiterate that I am not a supporter, I do not agree with the re-election and that I would never, under any circumstances, seek to perpetuate myself in the position I hold today. ; hui.because it would not only go against the Constitution, but it would also betray my principles and give up my honesty, which, in my opinion, is the most precious thing in my life.
