Luxury patrol cars: Brazilian police received Porsche, BMW and Mercedes-Benz cars recovered from drug trafficking

Police patrolling the streets of Brazil, known as Federal Roads Police (PRF), added to its fleet of patrol cars seven luxury cars valued at a total of 2 million reais, something like 380 thousand dollars. These are units of Porsche, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Range Rover, Jeep and Toyota recovered from drug trafficking.

The vehicles were seized by the Rodoviária in an operation against drug trafficking carried out in Mato Grosso do Sul. As a result, at least six people were arrested, including boats, planes and property seized.

The function of the new patrol cars, which were presented as part of an event organized by the 93 years of the force, will be to transport the authorities, to participate in public events, to be engaged in educational actions and also in special operations.

This is not the first time that the Rodoviária has received luxury cars from drug trafficking to transform them into patrol cars. Since 2019, this force uses a Chevrolet camaro and one Dodge challenger, two legendary North American sports cars packed with high-level equipment and features.

This week, the Federal Police of the State of Paraná also added a luxury reinforcement. In this case, it is a Lamborghini Gallardo LP 560-4, a jewel valued at 800 thousand reais, the equivalent of about 152 thousand dollars. It belonged to a man named Claudio José de Oliveira said “The King of Bitcoin” and charged with fraud in the cryptocurrency industry.

• Mercedes-Benz E300: it is a car capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.2 seconds and reaching a maximum speed of 250 km / h.
• BMW 330i MSport: With a 2.0-liter engine, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 6.2 seconds. In addition, it has semi-autonomous management systems.
• BMW 320i 2.0: Also with a 2.0-liter engine, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.1 seconds and reaches a top speed of 240 km / h.
• Porsche Cayenne GTS: Its engine is a 3.6-liter, 460-horsepower V6 gasoline engine that accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.1 seconds.
• Range Rover Velar P300 SE R-Dynamic: it equips a 2.0-liter turbo engine with which it can accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 6 seconds and reach 234 kilometers per hour.
• Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited 3.6: It has a 286 horsepower engine and four-wheel drive.
• Toyota Tundra 5.7 V8: This is a full-size North American pickup with a 5.7 and 385 horsepower engine.
