The Colombian authorities are investigating the case of Angels Daniela Parra the youngest of 13 years whose body was found dismembered, hidden in two bags in the center of the country.
The girl had been last seen on July 26, but her mother only yesterday reported the fact. According to preliminary police reports, the body found in vacant land in a San Martín municipality shows no signs of badual badault. However, it will be the National Institute of Forensic Medicine and Forensic Science that will determine it.
This femicide fits in a context where the figures on gender-based violence in this country are alarming. On May 23, the National Institute of Forensic Medicine and Forensic Medicine reported that during the first quarter of the year, 8,230 minors had been victims of badual violence in Colombia.
This represents an increase of 15% over the same period of the previous year, when 7,165 complaints were filed.
According to the survey, women under 18 account for 86% of the cases reported this year.
