A macabre discovery of more than 5,000 hand and foot bones has been made near the La Primavera residential complex, south of Culiacán, in Sinaloa, confirmed Sunday the State Commission for the Search for People.
The entity said the remains could be phalanxes of adults, youths and children, and the Attorney General's office said they were working on the identification of genetic profiles.
The remains have been found in an area where grbad and mountains abound. According to the survey, they were first placed in large black pockets broken by animals.
Human bones were found on August 24th, with no information officially released until August 30th.
The National Research Brigade and the National Missing Persons Research Commission are the ones that found the bone remains; This was confirmed by the commissioner of this institution, Juan Carlos Saavedra.
Only a few days ago, on August 26, the Attorney General's Office announced, through an information bulletin, that there were 4,265 missing persons in that state between 2007 and 19 July 2019.
