Macri has asked for more for massive violence

The head of state also expressed his "admiration for the task performed by the Jewish community that allowed the world to formally recognize the Holocaust".

"As president, I am proud of Argentina .We are the only country in Latin America to integrate the International Alliance for the Remembrance of the Holocaust," said Macri, adding: "It is only by knowing, remembering and telling what has happened that we can do something similar happens."

The President also recalled that this date of commemoration was instituted by the United Nations to commemorate the liberation of the Nazi concentration camp and the extermination of Auschwitz on January 27, 1945.

Six Holocaust survivors and directors of AMIA and DAIA participated in the ceremony, as well as leaders of the ruling party of the Jewish community, such as Environment Secretary Sergio Bergman and MP Waldo Wolff.

Macri was accompanied by Chancellor Jorge Faurie; the Minister of Education, Alejandro Finocchiaro, and the secretaries of human rights, Claudio Avruj, and Culto, Alfredo Abriani.
