President Mauricio Macri has used his social networks since his holidays in Cordoba and has expressed his condolences for the attacks perpetrated in Sri Lanka, without mentioning the floods in Chacho and Corrientes.
"Shocked by the news of horrific attacks in Sri Lanka, on behalf of the Argentines, I wish to express our condolences and solidarity with the victims and their families," Macri said on his Twitter account.
The message from the president was addressed to the victims and relatives of the series of attacks against churches and hotels that took place Sunday in Sri Lanka and that killed more than 200 people.
However, until now, the head of state has not mentioned the complicated situation experienced by Chaco and Corrientes because of a severe storm that caused severe flooding. Due to the rains, at least two people died and hundreds were evacuated.
