Maduro proposed to advance the legislative elections of the National Assembly

"I want elections, elections already (…) We go to the elections of the National Assembly to see who has the votes. We take on the challenge, we will find a peaceful solution, democratic and electoral, "said Maduro in flagrante delicto with his supporters in Caracas.

The announcement was made two days after the return of a delegation from his government to Venezuela, who participated in meetings with the opposition in Oslo and with the mediation of Norway to try to find a political solution to the Venezuelan conflict.

At the same time, the National Constituent Assembly (NCA) of Venezuela has also decided today to extend the validity of its mandate until December 31, 2020, announced the appointment of its president, the captain Diosdado Cabello.

This body began functioning in August 2017 after the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) claimed that the legislator had repeatedly "cheated" the Constitution.

After the verdict of Venezuela's Supreme Court, Maduro formed the ANC and had originally received a two-year term.

"It decrees first to establish the validity of the functioning of the ANC, plenipotentiary power of the nation and irrevocable symbol of the democratic will of our people, at least until December 31, 2020 ", said Cabello, according to the Sputnik news agency.
