Man died at his wedding as the bride walked down the aisle

Alison Wynn, the 38-year-old girlfriend was heartbroken after her future husband, 57, death at the altar a few minutes before the finalization of the marriage. She was walking down the hall corridor at Saltcoats Town Hall with her 20-year-old daughter when the tragedy occurred, reports Ayrshire Live.

The man was ill and already terminally ill. The doctors had said Paul wynn who just had cancer eight days before his death and the couple decided to get married. Doctors told him that the cancer of the pancreas had spread to liver already lungs.

The Stevenston couple continued their nuptials in a desperate attempt to marry during their short stay together, but tragically their last wish went unfulfilled.

Alison, who changed her last name a few years ago, said the heartbreaking event devastated her family.

The woman described her partner and father of five of her children: Sandy, 20; Tarquin, 15 years old; Marcus, 13, 13 years old; Louise, eight years old; and four-year-old Poppy as a “fantastic father” in honor of his sudden death.

“If I had known we didn’t have a lot of time, I would have tried to organize the wedding for the start of the week,” he said. Ayrshire live.

Alison described the episode noting that she felt something was wrong when she arrived at the wedding venue: “When I arrived I called him by name several times. He didn’t turn around, he didn’t look at me. There I realized something was wrong and started to fall apart. I called out his name. We knew something was wrong. ”

Rescuers rushed to help Paul, but were unable to resuscitate him, despite resuscitation and the use of a defibrillator.

Paul contacted his GP in May, after constant bleeding and of lose an alarming amount of weight. Then she began to have difficulty eating and was eventually only able to drink fluids.

An endoscopy revealed he had three hernias and a CT scan confirmed the diagnosis of cancer. He died a little over a week later.

The couple met in 1999 through Jehovah’s Witnesses. Paul proposed to Alison in October 2019. The couple had originally set a date for the ceremony for July 16 of this year.

Now a petition has been launched to raise funds to support the family and pay for the funeral.
