A young man caught a thief with a jiu-jitsu technique, self-defense. The event happened in Neuquén on Saturday at noon when Lucas Painefilú witness to a scene where a man led a criminal who had stolen a backpack. Before that he did not hesitate, chased him and managed to cut him.

The man was walking down the street when he saw two people running and, noticing that one of them was a criminal who was carrying a stolen backpack, he immediately started following him until he reached him, and kept it reduced to the ground.

He also noted, “I strangled him until he was half unconscious. The people who were around told me and let him go there ”. Asked about his reaction, he explained, “I didn’t hesitate or think about anything, I just felt the adrenaline rush of the competitions.”

A few minutes later, police arrived and the thief was taken into custody, and when they searched him, they found him carrying a knife. The person whose backpack he stole managed to get his things back and those who witnessed the scene praised the young man for taking action.

However, he assured: “I don’t think I did anything extraordinary because in fact these are things that shouldn’t happen. Painefilú has been practicing jiu jitsu for five years. “I had to go to some competitions where I used the same stroke, but I had never applied what I know on public roads,” he said.

What is jiu jitsu

It is a self-defense technique that has its origins in Japan and Brazil. You don’t need weapons since two people dedicate themselves to melee combat using different combinations of keys in order to make the opponent capitulate.
