Security cameras at a train station in the Indian town of Vangani, Maharashtra, captured (see video above) the moment a railway worker manages to save a child from the tracks a few seconds before the train arrives, of RT.
The events happened on April 17 and local authorities hailed Mayur Shelke as a hero, the channel reports. NDTV.

Shelke said the minor was accompanied by a visually impaired woman, who “couldn’t do anything” to help him. For this reason, Mayur ran at full speed, risk your own life, to derail it and bring it to safety.

The footage was shared on Twitter by Railways Minister Piyush Goyal, who praised Shelke’s “unusually brave act” in risking his own life to save the boy.
In the footage, the boy is seen losing his balance on the edge of a deserted platform and falling onto the rails. At this point, railroad guard Mayur Shelke is seen running towards the boy. He manages to catch up with him and save him as the train enters the platform.
The baby is already saved and the guard has it on the ground, on the platform (video capture).
“Very proud of Mayur Shelke, a railroad worker at Vangani station in Mumbai who performed exceptionally brave, risked his own life and saved the life of a child, ”Goyal wrote, sharing the video on Twitter.
“His act cannot be compared to no price or moneybut he will be rewarded for having fulfilled his responsibility and motivated humanity by his work, ”he added.
A HERO AND WITH ALL MERIT
Mayur Shelke has received a lot of praise since the video’s social media release.
Mayur Shelke wowed the country with her number.
The Ministry of Railways shared a clip showing Central Railway Mumbai division staff and DRM applauding Shelke. He was also praised for his courageous act for the Central Railroad.
Gautam Adani, chairman of the Adani group, praised the courage of the man at the railway points in a tweet shared on Monday. “I salute the selflessness and exemplary heroism of Mayur Shelke,” he wrote. “Mayur, your bravery inspires us all“.
Mayur Shelke was received by his teammates who formed a hallway to applaud him.
Actor R Madhavan also addressed Twitter to share a thank you note for the “true hero of life”.
In statements to YEARSShelke said the boy was accompanied onto the platform by a visually impaired woman, who couldn’t do much to help him. “There was nothing she could do. I ran to the boy, but I also thought I might be in danger too. Still, I thought I had to save him,” he said. “The woman was very excited and thanked me very much. Minister Piyush Goyal also called me,” he added.
