Man shot and killed woman, victim’s boyfriend followed him and hit him with the car

An armed man shot dead a woman in the Bronx, New York, and her boyfriend, who witnessed the crime, got into her car and crushed the killer as he tried to escape bike.

The incident happened last Wednesday on City Island, an island in the Bronx known for its beaches and marinas, when Lizbeth Mass, 52, worked on a construction site. At around 12:30 p.m., the attacker fired a volley of bullets at him.

Doctors took the woman to Jacobi Hospital, but could not save her. The victim, who lives in Brooklyn, had worked at the site for a year and a half, said a neighbor.
