Mendoza celebrates this Saturday from 20h "Time of the earth" to raise awareness of global energy economies as a symbolic and effective contribution to the effects of climate change.

The global event is commemorated in many cities around the world and across the province. He is officially designated on the esplanade of the House of the Government. The activity, organized by the Secretariat for the Environment and Regional Planning, is being carried out for the fourth year in a row.

The call is at 8 pm for the presentation of participants' identity vests and the collective lighting of 500 candles. At 8:30 pm, all the lights of the Government House and the Municipal District will extinguish and taking advantage of the opportunity to have a better visibility of the night sky, astronomical observations will be made with a telescope and an explanatory statement of Dr. Beatriz García's team of astronomers.

The Earth Hour is also the opportunity to carry out individual and collective actions for the protection of the environment. These daily actions can be: use a bike instead of a car, disconnect electronic devices when we do not use them and turn off the light when we do not need it, among others.
