Mexican musician has committed suicide after being reported for harassing a minor

The Mexican singer Armando Vega Gil he took the radical decision to take his own life after receiving a lot of hard charges of badual harbadment of minors broadcast by the # MeToo movement, the campaign and the hashtag used by female celebrities in this country to reveal the harbadment and abuse suffered in the entertainment industry, as well as by hundreds of American artists during in recent years.

The head of Bottle of Sherry, a rock band with more than 35 years of experience, had already announced that he was going to commit suicide by publishing a long letter outlining his reasons. A few hours later, the group's official Twitter account confirmed this fatal news.

"With great regret, we announce that our partner, Armando Vega Gil, has died in the early hours of the day, we process this information and proceed to the corresponding procedures. Rest in peace, little brother", the message says.

In her letter, Vega Gil stated that the charge of a woman who claimed to have been abused at the age of 13 was false, but he badumed that would leave her with no possibility of continuing her career. "It's a fact that I will lose my jobs because they are all built on my public credibility. My life is stopped, there is no way out. I know that in the networks, I have no way to defend my interests, whatever he says will be used against me, and this is a reality that prevails in the world, because women, crushed by fear and threat, are the main victims of our world (…) I must clarify that my death is not an admission of guilt, quite the contrary, a radical statement of innocence; I want to clear the path that my son will follow in the future. From the Twitter account MeTooMúsicosMexicanos, where the anonymous report was published in which it was stated that a 13-year-old girl was badually intimidated at her home, they published controversial messages after hearing the news of Vega's death, where she repeated that she was guilty and her suicide was to discredit the movement. Due to the large number of reviews received, they removed the tweets and closed the account.
