Mexico: former governor of Jalisco assassinated in attack

Although the footage is not clear enough to identify the perpetrators, the audio of the shots leaves no doubt that this was an attack and the hypotheses point to some of the drug cartels, including the former governor. He issued stern warnings during his tenure.

“They will end very badly”, warned Sandoval at a press conference, given the growth in the activity of the Jalisco Nueva Generación Cartel (CJNG), while maintaining that the central position of his government would be ” not to dialogue with the criminals and not to fold the arms ”.

Sandoval was 46 years old and was a leader of the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), for which Jalisco ruled between 2013 and 2018.
