Mexico: strong earthquake of 7.1 degrees on the Richter scale – Night shift

The Seismological Service of Mexico reported on Tuesday evening that an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.1 degrees on the Richter scale was recorded southeast of Acapulco.

It has also been felt in several states such as Mexico City, Puebla, Oaxaca, Guadalajara and Veracruz, Michoacán, among others.

It was registered at 8:47 p.m. and was located 14 kilometers southeast of Acapulco, Guerrero. There is a possible tsunami warning on the Mexican Pacific coast.

In Mexico City, prevention protocols were activated and the population was alerted in time to protect themselves. No injuries or deaths have been reported so far.
