Miami collapse: after the condominium remains were demolished, three more bodies were found among the rubble

Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava said Monday search teams had removed three more bodies from the rubble of the collapsed building in Surfside. (Florida, United States), bringing the death toll to 27.

After the bodies found today, the provisional number of people missing due to the partial collapse of the Champlain Towers South building was 118, while the number of people located is 191, according to recent official accounts.

He also added that they had taken “all possible measures”, which included the use of drones with heat sensors and a search “at risk for rescuers themselves”, in order to find pets within the structure of the building and before proceeding with its demolition, which was performed after 10:30 p.m. local.
