At least 22 people have died and 13 others were injured on Monday when a passenger bus overturned on an Andean road in Peru, informed the police.

“So far we have a preliminary figure of 22 dead in this morning’s crash“said a non-commissioned police officer from the Andean city of Huaraz, near the crash area, about 600 kilometers north of Lima.

It was also reported that most of the bus passengers were returning home to the Peruvian capital after traveling to vote in towns in the region of Ancash, in the general elections on Sunday.
