Modica’s murder is the seventh femicide recorded this year in Cordoba

CÓRDOBA.– Ivana Modica’s femicide, the woman who was wanted for eight days in the Punilla Valley, until almost midnight on Friday, her partner confessed to the crime and marked the spot where she had thrown the body, is the seventh so far this year in Cordoba. The case put the whole province on hold due to the deployment of rescuers and the fact that Javier Galvan – dismissed yesterday from the Air Force, where he was a pilot – had denied his participation throughout the week.

He was detained on Monday for obstructing justice and the title page has been changed to “capital murder” and the figure of gender violence will be included in the case.

Yesterday, two marches demanded justice. Separated, father of a 13-year-old son, he has had a relationship with Modica for a year and a half. In October, he reported her for violence and soon after, she did the same. Despite restrictions on mutual closeness, the couple bonded romantically and shared a home.

Modica, 47, was a journalist and civilian staff member of the Air Force. He had a daughter, Paula, with whom he had the last conversation he was known to have. Other cases

Miriam Farias, 45, was burned by her boyfriend Jorge Juárez, 49. On Sunday February 14, neighbors heard an explosion at Saldán’s home. Four days later he died at the Instituto del Quemado.

Liliana Stefanatto, 54, who lost a 21-year-old son in a traffic accident last December, was murdered by her partner, Ignacio Aldeco, who was reported for beating her. As Melisa Moyano died at the hands of Luis Pérez at his home in Jesús María. He escaped and was caught on the Córdoba-Carlos Paz highway, along with the couple’s daughter.

In Villa Dolores, in the west of Cordoba, the body of Nidia peano, 57, was found in a bed with several blows to the head. The femicide was her husband, Luis Aguirre, 65, who committed suicide. Ivana juarez, 32, had an anti-panic button but was stabbed by Francisco Tello, 38, who had a criminal record for theft and resistance to authority.

As, the case of Emilse Gaje is not yet clear, He was 25 years old and an 11 month old baby with Fabricio Acuña, his partner for nine years. His body was found burnt near Mercy Hospital.
