Asked whether Salgado Macedonio’s strong statements (“we’ll get them”) could constitute a crime, Monreal condemned: “No, no, on the contrary, he reacts like a man hurt by the decision of an electorate who tries to restrict him or tries to violate his right participate politically to govern their people ”.

It’s a natural reaction, it’s a reaction he should think about and I would call on him to just exhaust the legal path, the jurisdictional path, in the event that they try to revoke his registration again.

Monreal, for its part, assured on Monday that the Electoral Tribunal “judged that it was an excess and a disproportion ”the first resolution of the INE, who will re-examine the case on Tuesday after the 48-hour deadline granted by the magistrates.

Monreal, although he understood Salgado Macedonio’s reaction, said “all officials deserve respect.” “There is a way to fight their decisions through the courts.
