Moscow will open Covid-19 vaccination centers on Saturday, and the first to receive the vaccine will be teachers, doctors and social workers, Mayor Sergei Sobianin said on Thursday.
President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday ordered a large-scale voluntary vaccination program against Covid-19 across Russia to begin next week, noting that teachers and doctors should be the first to receive Sputnik V.

Moscow citizens will be able to register online from Friday to get the vaccine, Sobianin said in a statement on his website.
Russia, which resisted the imposition of strict lockdown measures during the second wave of the coronavirus, reported a record 28,145 new infections on Thursday, including 7,750 in Moscow.
