AIPAC is the acronym for the Committee of Public Subjects of the United States and Israel, the main pro-Israel lobby group in the country.

Omar and Tlaib became in January the first two members of the Muslim Congress in the history of the country.

Democratic lawmakers of the Jewish caucus Josh Gottheimer and Elaine Luria today sent a letter to Pelosi in which, without mentioning Omar directly, they asked for his explicit support for condemning "anti-Semitism and stereotypes urging the hatred".

Before meeting Omar, Pelosi issued a statement in which he condemned the messages of his training partner.
