Angels. Netflix has become the first major study to publicly speak out against the recently approved anti-abortion law in the state of Georgia, United States. Ted Sarandos, Netflix content manager, warned that the state could lose a million dollars if its anti-abortion law was enforceable.

"We have a lot of women working on our productions in Georgia, whose rights, as well as those of millions of others, will be severely limited by this law," Sarandos wrote in a statement.

The company has filmed Stranger Things, Ozark and Insatiable, among other series, in this region, a field widely used for filming television shows.

According to Business Insider data, 455 television programs and film projects were shot last year, accounting for $ 9.5 billion for the region's economy.

The law, known as the Heartbeat Bill ("Heartbeat"), was approved in May, but has not yet come into force. The law seeks to prohibit abortions as soon as the fetal heart rate is detected, which can occur after six weeks of gestation, even before the woman is aware of her condition.
