The members of the Federal Oral Court (TOF) 8, charged with conducting the oral and public trial with a view to the signing of the memorandum of understanding between Argentina and Iran as part of the AMIA case, have requested more resources from the Supreme Court of Justice to be able to cope with the investigation.
The formal request was made by the judge Gabriela López Iñiguez to the President of the Court, Carlos Rozenkrantz. The request was supported by Judges Jorge Tbadara and José Michilini, members of the same court.
According to the newspaper The press, the judge pointed out that he "it is urgent to be able to constitute an exclusive working team for this cause which, in quality and in number, makes it possible to face in conditions if not optimal, at least reasonable, with the requirements imposed by the affair, from the present moment and until the culmination of all its implications. "
The order includes the incorporation of 3 secretaries of chamber, 2 prosecutors, 2 officers and 3 badistant clerks and was asked because of the work this court faces, as it has not only federal powers, but also about 200 ordinary court cases.
The cause of the memorandum investigates the alleged concealment of the AMIA attack for which the former and present president will be judged, Cristina Kirchner. The case was brought to the hearing last March, but has not started yet.
