North Korea slammed summit negotiators with Trump

North Korea executed its special envoy for the United States after the failure in February in Hanoi of the second summit between North Korean leader Kim Jong-Un and President Donald Trump, according to a South Korean newspaper published yesterday.

Chosun Ilbo claims that Kim Hyok Chol, who went to the Vietnamese capital aboard Kim Jong-Un's private train, was shot and wounded for "betraying the supreme leader" after being "tidy on the side of the United States".

Kim Hyok Chol was the counterpart of US envoy Stephen Biegun during the preparatory talks for the Hanoi summit. Chosun, Kim Jong-Un also reportedly decided to purge other senior officials of the regime involved in the negotiations.

"Kim Hyok Chol was executed at Mirim airport with four senior officials of the Foreign Ministry after an investigation," the South Korean newspaper said.
