The trial of Joaquín "El Chapo" Guzmán Loera It has attracted the attention of the whole world because it is the first process of a public enemy number one lately. But, furthermore, it sounded an alarm for the entire Mexican political system because, as it was said from the beginning, it was also to give a media and political blow, more than legal, to the Mexican government, whether outgoing or incoming.
With "El Chapo" about to be sentenced, the country does not end its violent vortex and she continues to hope that the goodwill and hope, as well as the good wishes of this fourth transformation, come to an end with her.
Out of the Guzmán Loera stage, there is no one to replace him and know to give Sinaloa's cartel the spectacular character that it had before. It will no longer be this international organization capable of controlling drug trafficking in the world, nor the economic power that has catapulted it as the most powerful and violent cartel of all time.
Since the beginning of the trial, the organization kept a low profile, has not been shown as in his best moments: active and criminal. Of course, many active members work quietly and continue to stay on the sidelines. But they are not isolated traffickers.
His empire grew in the manner of an illegal but strong economic activity, with the social complacency of rural, urban and semi-urban marginal groupsbut also elite economic groups. Very specific identities have been generated, capable of structuring a culture around narcoculture, full of symbolism and cultural constructions that gave him a fertile field during youth cementing The mentalities and enthusiasms of Sinaloa to be able to incursion without counterpart in an illegal economic activity.
For that, the leaders of the mafia of Sinaloa came to constitute emblems of a culture trafficked into the heart of drug trafficking, because when we think the least, we understood we were involved in an economy and culture that disrupted a way of life and even a way of thinking and expressing oneself.
At one point, it was also a necessary evil, as they blocked other criminal groups characterized by their brutal practices of murder, land charges, and so on.
After the trial, the mandatory question is what will happen to the agreement.
Surely what's left of Sinaloa's cartel will slowly go from a discrete activity, to its dismemberment, to internal rivalries those who claim to dominate a place or harbad other criminal groups. We are therefore in front of a poster in danger of extinction.
For the moment, in Sinaloa, we are already witnessing a wave of murders that we do not know whether or not it is organized crime, as before. In recent weeks, a series of badaults at home have been commented. Auto thefts have increased Sinaloa's position in second place nationwide.
These are indicators of common logic that speak of a serious problem of the leaders of the drug Sinaloaor at least a forced strategy of new leaders who do not have the profile of the traditional "mafia lord" in the state.
This trial also gives rise to several readings: a Mexican political system, from presidents to officials and police chiefs, splashed at the heart of complicity and corruption, thus demonstrating the barbarians of the Mexican political clbad in Mexico. the invasive cesspool of corruption at all levels.
We are waiting for the attempts of other criminal groups to seize this territory, the internal confrontation of the groups in search of leadership, the rise of local criminal crimeand of course: an impact on the state economy which will have to be determined in pesos and centimes.
Let's see how this affects a modification of the narcoculture, which will surely be affected, and hope before speculating, where the new cultural constructions will come from this new stage of the entry of drug trafficking in Sinaloa.
