NYPD investigates wave of subway attacks that left two dead, two injured in stab wounds

Two people died and two others were injured in a series of stab wounds that took place Friday night in the New York City subway.

As reported by police this Saturday, These are four different incidents, all against homeless people who did not cause the incident, as reported by the American channel CNN, who also adds that three of the incidents appear to be related and that an investigation is underway to see if the fourth is also related to the previous ones.

According to local media CBS, “A person of interest” is asked about the facts.

The first call was received at 11:20 p.m. Friday evening and he was alerted that A 67-year-old man was stabbed by another unidentified man in Queens.

Ten minutes later, the police found a corpse with stab wounds to the neck and torso at another station.

After this discovery, two hours passed until a metro operator found a 44-year-old woman unconscious and with several stab wounds to the body who ended up dying in hospital.

Soon after, he found a man with similar injuries that he is stable in the hospital and that he told the police that he was stabbed by another whom he did not know. The latter wounded was found in the same station as the first.

The two non-fatal attacks, which affected a 67-year-old man and a 43-year-old man, also took place in the north of the island.

New York Police have announced the deployment of an additional 500 officers to the transportation network overnight Saturday as a precaution against the possibility of further stabbing attacks.
