Odebrecht case: Vido and other former officials are overthrown – Telam

The Federal Chamber of Buenos Aires canceled today the prosecution of the former Federal Minister of Planning, Julio De Vido, and other former officials of Kirchner, such as José López, Roberto Baratta and Ricardo Jaime, in the case relating to offenses in the judgment of the Underground Railroad of Sarmiento.

The decision was taken in the hearing room II of the Court of Appeal that ordered the judge of the case Marcelo Martínez De Giorgi to deepen the investigation and to take account for all possible crimes, such as the payment of bribes or fraud to the state, in accordance with the decision approved by Telam.

With this decision, the lack of merit attributed to the businessmen charged in the case was also set aside.

Cameramen Martín Irurzun and Leopoldo Bruglia argued that the decision to prosecute former officials for allegedly incompatible negotiations with the civil service lacked "grounds".

The investigation "aims from the outset to identify possible maneuvers of public administration fraud and bribe payments from the Odebrecht Group and local partners to members of the structure of the Federal Planning Ministry, the Ministry of 'Investment and Public Services and / or others recall that distributions were organized to obtain the price and continuity of the various stages of work "Metro Caballito-Moreno railway corridor" of the line Sarmiento ".

This "administrative act that benefited the integrated consortium – according to the previous name – companies Iecsa S.A., Constructora Norberto Odebrecht S.A., Ghella Societa Per Azioni and Comsa SA".
