Three spectators during a football match were killed on Monday evening in the Mexican municipality of León, Mexico, after five men broke in and shot at spectators without saying a word at all. It was a massacre in a state where between last Friday and him 65 people were killed in an unusual escalation of violence.

It all happened during a football match of the Neighborhood tournament, in the community of Santa Ana del Conde, city of León, on the border with Silao. The second half was played when gunshots were heard which sparked terror among footballers, referees and a hundred assistants, among them children and women, who ran in different directions, threw themselves to the ground and, those who could, hid in the bleachers, according to the newspaper The universal.

In addition to the already confirmed deaths in three, at least two people have been injured and one of them is in serious condition. All received the support of other spectators who helped them in their private cars until the arrival of the ambulances, which were summoned in the greatest despair.

The attack occurred around 6.30 p.m. on football fields called The Oak, which is located on the side of the León-Santa del Conde highway, by five men who entered the facilities and two of them with long guns shot at the victims and several other people who were nearby. 7.62 and 223 mm caliber gun pods were found at the scene.

The attack was captured by spectators who were doing a live broadcast, in which are observed the moments of panic of those gathered for the match between the teams of Santa Ana against Zona Piel, of the Torneo de los Barrios league.

Witnesses to what happened reported that the murderers got out of a car and shot their victims at point blank range and left without being arrested, although the police were already in the middle of a search based on the initial identification they could have reached. . through video recordings of spectators and site security cameras.
