After confirming the presence of this toxic substance in the formations of lines B and D, Metrodelegates required the immediate purchase of a complete fleet of asbestos-free trains and the implementation of a de-billing plan. However, the government led by Horacio Rodríguez Larreta has not yet responded to this request.

The metodelegates denounced the fact that the fleets of the various lines are mainly contaminated by asbestos, a carcinogenic material

For this reason, metodelegates have announced the adoption of a combat plan that will begin next week according to the following scheme:

* Monday 21: Opening of the windlasses in station of line B from 17 to 19 hours.

* Tuesday 22: Opening of the windlasses in the stations of line D from 8h to 10h and from 17h to 19h.

* Wednesday 23: Stop lines B and D between 5.30am and 7.30am.

"We recall that, as we have constantly denounced since March 2018, the fleets of the various lines are mainly contaminated by this carcinogenic material and that, although aware of this situation, neither SBASE nor Metrovías have done anything over the past 15 years to change this situation, putting the lives of thousands of workers in the subway at risk."warned the metodelegates in the statement released this Friday.
