Outstanding music and teacher Samira Musri is dead

Authorities of the Faculty of Arts and Design of UNCuyo announced the death of the flutist and outstanding teacher of this institution, Samira Musri.

In highlighting his career, they pointed out that Musri was a follower of Lars Nilsson and had graduated in flute from UNCuyo's School of Arts and Design. It has been developed in Europe with Alain Marion, András Adorján, Pierre-Yves Artaud and Aurèle Nicolet, and in Argentina with Félix Renggli, Jean-Claude Gérard, Alfredo Ianelli, Patricia Da Dalt, Robert Dick and Juan Manuel Quintana (music Ancient). .

Winner of a competition for young instrumentalists in Mar del Plata, Santa Fe, Mendoza and Buenos Aires, she has appeared as a soloist with Argentine orchestras (Mendoza, Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, Mar del Plata, Bahía Blanca and Córdoba) , Georgia (Tbilisi). ) and Peru (Lima).

He obtained a Master's degree in Latin American music interpretation of the twentieth century (FAD-UNCuyo). He participated in the first international music festival of the city of Tarija and the first exchange with the Nashville Symphony Orchestra.

As a researcher, she participated in a research project at UNSJ (2011-2015). As a member of chamber music ensembles, he worked intensely with the UNCuyo Aconcagua Wind Quintet and with the Baroque Flutes duet.

At present, he has joined the violetta club old music group. He joined the UNCuyo Symphony Orchestra in 1986, where he is first soloist of the flute since 1987.

She also founded Doce Lius (Mendoza Chamber Music Association), professor of chamber music at the UNCuyo FAyD and flute teacher at the Mendoza Art and Music Baccalaureate.
