At least 41 Palestinians were injured, including a child in critical condition, following an offensive by Israeli troops that fired at protesters throwing Molotov cocktails from the Gaza Strip. An Israeli policeman is also in serious condition following the clashes.

Likewise, the IDF reported the deployment of airstrikes against four locations of “manufacture and storage of weapons” of the Islamist movement Hamas, which controls this Palestinian enclave, and to reinforce its division in Gaza with additional troops.

Previously, Israeli troops at the border responded by shooting at Palestinian protesters who threw Molotov cocktails, burned tires and attempted to climb Gaza’s border wall.

These clashes were recorded three months later Israel and Hamas agree to a truce after heavy fighting.

“Forty-one civilians were injured,” the Palestinian enclave’s health ministry said in a statement. 13-year-old boy is in critical condition after being shot in the head, added the Hamas-controlled ministry.

For its part, the Israeli border police said that a 21-year-old agent of his secret unit is in serious condition after being shot dead by a Palestinian protester. “His condition is critical and his life is in danger,” it said.

Army said “hundreds of rioters and protesters” gathered on the other side of the border and attempted to cross the fence, a figure Hamas raised to “thousands” of protesters .

“Troops in the area are ready to use riot gear and, if necessary, 22 caliber bullets,” the army said.

Israeli Defense Minister Benny Gantz said these were “events extremely serious“They will need an answer. Israel fired tear gas at protesters, who in response burned tires.

The Islamist movement Hamas, which controls Gaza, called the protest to commemorate the fire of the Al Aqsa mosque 52 years ago in Jerusalem.

The Israeli police “will continue to act firmly against those who want to harm us,” Commissioner Kobi Shabati said in a statement.

Shortly after his remarks, the IDF reported the airstrikes on Hamas weapons storage sites. Initially, no casualties were reported as a result of these attacks.

Exactly three months ago, Israel and Hamas signed a truce after the worst incidents in years.

While eleven days in MayIsrael shelled the gang in retaliation for the hundreds of rockets launched from the coastal enclave.

Reconstruction of Gaza has not progressed since the May 21 truce, in part because of the blockade that Israel has maintained since Hamas came to power in 2007.

Last Thursday, Israel announced that it would allow Qatari funds to flow into Gaza, but other restrictions remain.

The truce negotiated by Egypt between Hamas and Israel has been largely maintained, despite some clashes.
