Of the total number of deaths of people with coronavirus in June, Covid-19 was the leading cause in 23,372 cases, while 3,746 people who tested positive for the coronavirus died from other causes.

Russia has seen an increase in infections since early June and new cases per day have risen from 9,000 in early summer to 23,000 in early July.

The coronavirus task force on Friday reported 22,660 new infections and 792 deaths. In total during the pandemic, the government task force reported 6.4 million confirmed infections and 163,301 deaths.
