Patron Santiago holiday: how will services and trade work?

This Thursday, July 25 will be held in Mendoza on the day of the patron saint of Santiago, created by the provincial law 4.081 adopted in 1976, and as for most public holidays, public services and trade will work in a limited way cases.

Provincial and municipal governments and educational institutions at all levels will not be active. Neither banks nor financial institutions will be open.

Adrián Ailín, president of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Tourism and Services of the City of Mendoza (Cecitys), explained to MDZ "there are many merchants who want to respect the religious holiday", so from the entity "we will offer to open a half-day because there is a tourist movement".

"There are shops that will remain open for long hours, others will work in two teams and some will not open directly, it will also depend on the tourist circuit of each region, because the flow of visitors in the Pedestrian is not the same as in the most distant places of the center. "He added.

In the case of hypermarkets and supermarkets, an investigation into this support confirmed that the vast majority of them will open at the same time as any other Sunday or holiday.
