Pemex ruled out that the explosion of its Campeche platform was due to lack of maintenance

He also insisted on exclude this explosion this Sunday on the E-Ku-A2 platform, which is part of a gas treatment center of the Ku-Maloob-Zaap complex facing the State of Campeche, in the Gulf of Mexico, This was due to a lack of maintenance or budget cuts dedicated to this activity.

In the press conference he offered, the director of the parastatal added that the six injured people are currently being treated in hospitals. One of the injured is in serious condition and the other five are recovering.

Romero stressed that he ruled out that the fire was due to a lack of budget for the maintenance of the platform. He regretted that this version had been broadcast in various media since the day before, specifying that this was not the reason for the events.
