Peña: "The IMF is very attentive to our situation" | Chronic

The chef de cabinet, Marcos Peñasaid Thursday that the report of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) referred to by the director general of the organization, Christine Lagarde, "Alert that we respect the commitment to fiscal balance", recalling that the program "was proposed by Argentina" and the fund "give support to achieve this".

At the press conference that he offered to Casa de Gobierno, Peña said that Argentina's relations with the Fund were "mature" and noted that "the logic of blaming the problems that are ours did not serve".

Regarding the cabinet debate on updating the Care Price program, Peña badured that the members of the government team had all "an excellent relationship".

With regard to the increase in the country's irrigation index, Peña attributed it to "the uncertainty generated by the electoral context"and considered that "All political forces must have clear definitions of the economic issue".

Finally, he said: "We have a friendship and a team spirit in Cambiemos, we work on the same agenda, but we will not anticipate the measures, these are communicated by Macri".
