Pickets at the Holy See: Juan Grabois obtains a post at the Vatican

The social leader Juan Grabois he was appointed member of the Dicastery for the Integrated Human Development Service of the Vatican, considered as the “social and environmental ministry” of the Holy See in which meet the programs of application of the encyclical Laudato si ‘and the commission for the post-pandemic.

Grabois, 37, was proposed as a consulting member by the head of the Dicastery, Ghanaian Cardinal Peter Turkson, Vatican sources reported. The designacin lawyer and leader of social movements was later supported, days ago, by the dad Francisco.

Other members of the Dicastery created by the Pope in 2016, they are for example the cardinals of Poland Konrad Krajewski and Peru, Pedro Barreto, among the religious, and the laity Renato Lima de Oliveira and Sean Callahan.

Under the orbit of the Dicastery work the Vatican Foundations of Social Orientation, like the Popolorum Progressio, focused on Latin America; and John Paul II, in the Sahel.

Turkson ya haba assigned to Grabois as a consultant to the Pontifical Council for Justice and Peace, one of the institutions that, with the signing of the papal decree of August 2016, drifted from January 1, 2017 to the Dicastery for the Service of Integral Human Development.

The Pope then considered that the Dicastery “was competent in matters of migration, the needy, the sick and the excluded, the marginalized and the victim of armed conflicts and natural disasters”, the incarcerated, the unemployed and victims of all forms of slavery and torture. “
