Plaza España Tunnel: this is so that Ersa stops after the inauguration

On Monday 9th, the new Plaza España tunnel will be open for transit. The crossing of the viaduct is 400 meters and 140 meters are underground. This will allow access by decompressing by South Zone.

From the company Ersa, they explained how the bus stops between Plaza España and Boulevard Illia will be organized.

Straight lane of Chacabuco boulevard

They will stop lines 21, 24, 41, 52 and 83 as follows:

• Chacabuco 775 (between Derqui and Oro): 32 and 41
• Chacabuco 651 (between Oro and San Lorenzo): 34, 52 and 83
• Chacabuco 460 / between Rondeau and Illia): 32, 34, 41, 52 and 83

On the left lane of Chacabuco Boulevard

They will stop the following lines at the following points:

Between Bishop Oro and San Lorenzo:

• 1st stop: 20, 21, 23 and 26
• 2nd stop: 22, 24, 28 and 29
• 3rd stop: 71,73, 81, 43 and 45

Between Rondeau and Illia Boulevard:

• 1st stop: 20,21, 23 and 26
• 2nd stop: 22, 24, 28 and 29
• 3rd stop: 71, 73, 81, 43 and 45

On the work

The Plaza España tunnel has 145 linear meters of metro, but with the accesses, it reaches 400 meters without traffic lights and without roundabout, which slows down the car traffic.

All the prestressed walls have already been installed on the sides of the tunnel and paving marks an important advance. The tunnel ends at Derqui Street, at its intersection with Chacabuco, where traffic changes will be made to prevent accidents.
