Poland inaugurated the world’s deepest swimming pool

The deepest swimming pool in the world, with 45.5 meters deep, intended mainly for the training of divers but also for tourism, was inaugurated this weekend near Warsaw.

Called Deepspot, it includes replicas of underwater caves Yes mayan ruins and it even has a reproduction of the remains of a ship in its background.

To fill it, you need 8,000 cubic meters of water, more than 20 times the volume of a 25-meter-long swimming pool.

So far, the deepest swimming pool in the world has measured 42 meters and has been located in Montegrotto Terme, Italy.

But very soon, the Polish swimming pool will also lose its record since next year in the United Kingdom a swimming pool of 50 meters deep, called Blue Abyss.

“There are no fish or coral reefs but it is a good place to train and learn to dive safely,” said Przemyslaw Kacprzak, a diving instructor, present at the opening.

The manager of the place informed that the swimming pool will also be used by firefighters and the army during their training. In addition, it is planned to build a Hotel, whose rooms will have view to the pool and its divers.

The construction of Deepspot cost two years and 8.9 million euros ($ 10.6 million).
