Police: a Disney employee dies after an industrial accident

A member of the Walt Disney World team was killed in an industrial accident near Pop Century Resort on Monday morning, according to officials of the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

Officers said they received a 911 call from 1153 Century Drive around 9:18 am and found a man, identified as Juan Alberto Ojeda, 33, unconscious.

Reedy Creek Fire Department officials declared Ojeda dead at the scene.

George A. Kalogridis, president of Walt Disney World Resort, confirmed that the victim was a member of the Disney cast.

"All of us at Walt Disney World Resort are deeply sad today because of the loss of one of our actors, our thoughts are with your family, your friends and it's a tragic accident, and we provide resources and attention to those affected and we work closely with the relevant authorities to understand how this happened, "said Kalogridis
