Polls open for presidential elections in Panama

The polls are open this Sunday in Panama for general elections in which will be chosen, from seven candidates, the president who will govern the country for the next five years, as well as 81 mayors and 700 other local stations.

"The vote begins," tweeted the electoral court in his account. The 6,911 polling stations opened at 07:00 local time (12:00 GMT) and will remain active for nine hours for more than 2.7 million people to vote.
