Six years have pbaded since March 13, when white smoke indicated that there was a new pope and a few minutes later Jorge Bergoglio, who was from that moment, was on the balcony.
Over the past six years, Bergoglio has not returned to his country of origin, but was geographically on the point of doing so: Brazil to World Youth Day in 2013, Bolivia, the Paraguay, Ecuador and Cuba in 2015, Mexico in 2016, Colombia in 2017, Chile and Peru in 2018.
During his interview with journalists during his trip to Morocco, he was questioned about his intention to visit Argentina. He replied as usual: "We'll see if I can go soon." However, they doubt that his visit will take place this year since the presidential elections are expected.
This response came after the Episcopal Conference of Argentina (CEA), where the bishops anticipated that at the next meeting with the pope, they would propose "not to deprive themselves of the joy" of visiting our country.
