In this way, it has reached nearly $ 6 million. In addition, he requested, through an injunction, that the embargoes be stuck on the bank accounts of the newspaper publisher.

For this reason, at the last meeting of IAPA and in the report on the media in Argentina, the entity expressed concerns about a court decision concerning Impreba, editor of Diario Popular .

In this sense, the SIP noted that, as a result of a lawsuit by a private individual and the attempt to apply debt determination formulas away from the economic reality, an abuse of Virtual confiscation risk being spent. the badets of the company.

Impreba's lawyers have asked the new judge who understands in the case that the injunction is not effective. In their brief, they explained that such a measure would mean the immediate paralysis of the company and its eventual bankruptcy ".with the institutional gravity that means the disappearance of a media that, in addition to fulfilling an obvious social and republican function, constitutes a source of direct income for more than 260 families whose revenues depend on the newspaper"

The magistrate gave way to the request not to make the seizures, provided that the debt is converted into pesos on the date of filing the application and then updates the amount by applying the pbadive rate indicated by the BCRA and taking counts the payment on the account received by the plaintiff's attorney.

Arcagni has appealed this decision to the House, which must now decide whether or not to validate its claim for the dollar debt, plus interest at the rate paid by the banks for the loans in pesos, as well as the seizure of accounts with which the company published by Diario Popular it pays the suppliers and their employees.
