President Vizcarra visited the areas affected by the earthquake | news

President Martín Vizcarra said that state ministers will move to the affected areas to coordinate actions of attention to the earthquake-affected population.

He explained that the president of the Council of Ministers, Salvador del Solar, will go to Tarapoto, accompanied by the Minister of Housing, Miguel Estrada.

"The Minister of Production goes to Iquitos and the Minister of the Interior to Pucallpa," he added.

Vizcarra stressed that he and the ministers would coordinate directly with regional and local authorities to react quickly and help the affected people.

"The earthquake hit eight regions of the country, we collected the first information that will be corroborated there," he said.
