Carlos diaz, the psychologist who treated Diego Maradona (1960-2020) in the last weeks of his life, he broke the silence eight months after astro’s death and assured, without hesitation, that there was never a plan to kill the former footballer.

Díaz, one of the seven defendants who has the cause investigating the death of football’s biggest idol, appeared on Friday in the study of Intruders (America, Monday through Friday at 1:30 p.m.) and he talked about everything.

He did so after making his investigative statement to the San Isidro prosecutor’s office, which is handling the case in question and He remembered how that fateful morning was of last November 25.

“This Wednesday, I had an appointment with him. I arrived with Agustina Cosachov (the psychiatrist was also accused) that that day she was going to adjust her medication so we first talked a bit with the nurse (Daiana Madrid) and she told us that this morning I had heard Diego come into the room“, he started to say.

“Then we talk to the cohabitants, Maximiliano Pomargo and Jonathan Espósito, who tell us that Diego had had better days and others in which he had been more isolated … and when we approached the door and called him, he did not answer. We opened the door and saw him apparently asleep. My chest was half naked, half covered … “he continued.

We called him sometimes with Agustina but he did not answer us. So we went out and told Maxi and Jonathan. They told us that it was a very common occurrence in Diego, that when he didn’t want to see the doctors, he pretended to be asleep, and we don’t feel any worries“, he continued firmly in his story.

And I add: “When they entered, they saw that he had no pulse and the nurse came running to start performing CPR maneuvers on him. He was taking turns with Agustina and at that point I told Pomargo to call 107 and Jonathan to contact the country guard to contact a nearby doctor. “

Carlos also said that a nearby doctor approached and advised him to continue performing CPR maneuvers and in less than two minutes the first of many ambulances arrived. “I also remember talking to Gianinna … I warned her …“said Diaz.

Did you tell him he was dead?“Asked Adrián Pallares (53).” No, until then they hadn’t said that because when the first ambulance arrived they started doing advanced CPR and from what I heard they resuscitated him twice as long as a person normally resuscitates …“replied the psychologist.

“I tried to convey calm to him, I told him to come closer and drive calmly but later the media echoed this news very quickly and she arrived very nervous like the rest of the family“,
