Quilmes: the mental health of a girl in the midst of madness

Through my work, I met women who threw themselves in front of a car when I was caught by criminals because inside were their children, policemen who face three, four, five armed people and men who resist aggression by holding doors that were pushed with motorcycles with their hands.

I interviewed people who had been scuffed because they were hanging out on the street not to drop their bags or their backpacks, butchers in front of criminals waving their blades, people who did not do not remember

I have seen many things, as you can imagine, but there is always room for the new, for the surprise

That has happened yesterday in Quilmes. An eleven year old girl was alone in her house. She was sick with pneumonia, and her mother went to school to take a medical certificate and look for homework. This lapse of no more than ten minutes was the one used by the delinquents to enter the house. The girl heard the knocking at the door and when she looked out the window, she saw the men struggling with a metal bar.

The girl catches her mobile phone, calls 911, tells the police what was happening and when they tell her that they're on the way, the girl cuts and calls her mother to tell him the same thing. At that time, the thieves had broken the door and one of them was entering the girls' room. The offender is not much older than she, a only fifteen years old.

She knew it was going to happen, that it was inevitable that the men would beat her at the door and finally get their hands on her. But his reaction was that, call and pray. His reaction takes my breath away . She is eleven years old and does not scream out the window, do not try to run to the back of her house, do not crawl under the bed or in a closet. This girl, who is little more than a girl, has the confidence to make two phone calls and wait until then.

Too much girl for so much composure: the incredible story of "Belu", the 11-year-old girl who was alone In the house, he saw that three criminals were forcing the door of entry and called 911 for help. They think it was "a flight by order" https://t.co/FGoLCsReyj pic.twitter.com/YK0T7QM7k2

It's one of the most amazing reactions that I've had to tell about a victim of aggression, a courage that I do not have. I have not seen appearing in adults supposedly flattened but who have broken, of course, in the face of fear. Not her. The story has a cooling tower. The offender keeps her captive in her room while her two accomplices turn the house and start talking louder.

The baby trembles in his arms, cries, breathes as he can. He tries to calm her as she is and then the unexpected phrase arrives. "Stay calm," he said, "we will not do anything for you." They sent us money and papers .When we find these things, we leave. " girl listens but does not calm down (but does not forget either) and that is when patrollers arrive.

Police arrest the three men and save them. His call to 911, his reflex action, gives results and the calvario ends but the phrase said by the minor thief does not disappear. It was not an armed robbery. Offenders would have been hired to carry on the badault on the girl's mother's ex-partner. Both adults have a criminal record.

This is not a game. Anything could have happened. An intimate conflict, a couple that breaks like the hundreds of couples that break every day everywhere, takes a scary course in this case and an eleven-year-old girl experiences an experience that no one should have in her life. She disabled the threat to the pure character.

I could have reacted in any way whatsoever by jumping over a balcony, trying to climb the adjoining wall of the neighboring house covered with barbed wire and broken glbad . It could have been hurt, cut, suffered a collapse, one of the thousands of consequences to all the possible reactions that people have without even imagining them.

I have been doing this for a while to know that anything is possible in these cases. The cold blood of a creature, and nothing more, gives this story a quiet end. If suspicions are confirmed and it was not just an badault, that self-confidence will also end up being the only mental health glitch in a delusional context.
