Rappi, the home delivery company that landed last year in Argentina, is already planning to integrate two new services: cash delivery and rental of electric skateboards.
Among the company's projects, Rappi Cash stands out, which will allow customers to ask for money at home. "We hope to launch it very soon. It is asking for money at home. We think of numbers between $ 500 and $ 1,000. We will not charge additional commissions, but only shipping costs, "he explained. The idea is that Rappi Cash is available in the last days of February. Users will be able to request money through the application that will be debited from a pre-loaded map in the application. This service is already available in Colombia, Mexico and Brazil.
The company also plans to stimulate Rappi Pay, a service to pay directly with a QR code. And a system of renting electric skateboards, similar to the one that already works in Mexico thanks to an alliance with the company Grin.
And, also in the short term, he plans to launch a skateboard or electric scooter service in alliance with Grin, a growing Mexican start-up. Its projection is to place up to 70,000 skateboards in different Latin American cities where Rappi operateswhich is present in Colombia, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay and Peru. In Montevideo already have 300 units.
The skateboards belong to Grin and, thanks to Rappi, users can unlock them with a QR code. and use them for a while. Then they are left in different parts of the city. They will have a basic fare per kilometer and once the trip is over they will automatically be charged.
